Description
At the epicenter of the historical splendor of Andalusia, the monumental complex of Seville stands as a living testament to overlapping cultures. The old town of the city, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, unfolds a majestic urban landscape where Almohad architecture, colossal Gothic style, and Mudejar refinement coexist under the unmistakable golden light of the south.
Our cultural immersion begins at one of the designated meeting points in the surroundings of the historic center, such as the Archive of the Indies or the traditional Calle Francos. From there, we delve with our official guide into the majestic Cathedral of Santa María de la Sede, the largest Gothic temple in the world, built on the remains of an ancient major mosque.
The itinerary takes us through the colossal cathedral naves to contemplate the impressive main altarpiece and stop before the tomb of Christopher Columbus. Next, we challenge the ramps of the famous tower of La Giralda, the ancient minaret and great symbol of Seville, whose heights offer a spectacular panoramic view of the entire city before heading towards the continuous palace grounds.
Crossing the walls of the Real Alcázar, the oldest royal palace still in use in Europe, we explore the Admiral's Room, the Mudejar Palace, and the Gothic halls that served as the Kingdom of Dorne in the series Game of Thrones. The experience culminates among the aromas of its spectacular gardens, strolling alongside the famous Mercury Pond and contemplating the architecture of the Gallery of Grotesque.
A fascinating journey through time that will transform you into a true expert of the Sevillian legacy.
