Description
At the southernmost tip of the Iberian Peninsula, where the waters of the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean meet, stands the legendary Rock of Gibraltar. This unique overseas territory, located just fourteen kilometers from the coast of the African continent, offers a fascinating multicultural blend where deep-rooted British influence and the hospitable Andalusian character coexist harmoniously in a strategic space that is unique in Europe.
Our excursion begins in the morning with a comfortable road journey from Seville heading south, crossing the beautiful landscapes of the Cádiz countryside. After approximately two hours of travel, we will arrive at the border line. Once the relevant customs checks have been completed to enter this British territory, we will begin a comprehensive route that will reveal the natural and historical secrets of the great Rock.
The itinerary includes a stop at the famous Europa Point, the southernmost point of the area, from where on clear days you can clearly see northern Africa and the Moroccan coast. Next, we will ascend to explore the spectacular geological formations of the St. Michael's Caves, an impressive setting of stalactites and stalagmites. During the ascent, we will have the opportunity to observe up close the famous Gibraltar monkeys, the only population of wild macaques in all of old Europe.
At the end of the panoramic tour, you will have ample free time in the town center. It will be the perfect moment to stroll along the bustling Main Street, a famous pedestrian street full of shops where you can enjoy tax-free shopping on items such as perfumes, liquors and watches. You can also relax with lunch in its traditional British pubs or local cafés before starting the return bus journey to the starting point in Seville.
A fascinating tour designed to capture the essence and the most legendary outdoor beauty of the Granada capital.
